Kid friendly places of New England

There is always a question what to do and where to go with kids.

Here is the list of Great children - friendly places in around Boston, that we love to visit with my daughter.

  • Plum Island
    ( great outdoor place, bird watching, walking, cycling, see my pictures )
  • Canobie Lake park
    ( Great outdoor summer place. Gazilions of rides and roller-coasters )
  • Higgins Armory Museum of Worcester
    ( beautiful collection of medieval arms and armor, staged fights and demonstrations )
  • Christa McAuliffe Planetarium
  • Museum of Science of Boston
    ( huge and grand )
  • Discovery Museum of Acton
    ( smaller, yet still fun-to-visit place )
  • New England Aquarium of Boston
    ( huge and grand )
  • Children's Museum of Boston
    (huge and grand, with a lots to do)
  • Halibut Point of Rockport
    (great outdoor place, stern & beautiful landscapes, birding, eating lobsters)
  • Playgrounds (for example the one in Woburn)
  • America's Stonehedge
    (fun to visit, outdoor, ancient and mysterious)
  • Wolf hollow of Ipswich
    (real wolves, presentations. The wolves are bigger then I thought they are. The place is quite small. No more then two hours deal.)
  • city of Gloucester
    (pictures landscapes, beaches)
  • city of Rockport
    (gazillions of small galleries and stores, walking, lobster's capital, beaches)
  • Fun World of Nashua
    (roller-coasters, lots of games. On the bad side - its a very noisy place. Can give you a headache. See my pictures)
  • Checkered Flag Indoor Karting
  • Butterfly place of Westford
    (small but nice place to visit.)
  • Nashoba valley
    (skiing, see my pictures)
  • Winnipesaukee lake
    ( boat tours, see my pictures )
  • Plymouth plantation
    ( great outdoor place. Pilgrims. Indians. Cabins with a lot of stuff. See my pictures)
  • Theaters
  • State of Main
  • Appalachians
  • Acadia National Park
    ( I was pessimistic about this place, because we got Halibut Point down here, and I thought that Acadia would be just "more of the same". I was totally wrong! Acadia is so, so, so breathtaking. It is a must to visit. See my pictures )
  • Lama trip in Western Massachusetts
    ( explore Berkshire Mountains in the company of friendly llamas. Great adventure, animals are very cute and friendly)
  • Great mansions of Newport, Rhode Island (see my pictures)

  • Canada, Montreal with it's famous La basilique Notre-Dame de MontrĂ©al, Ottawa with it's Parliament and Senate, pearl of Vermont - Lake Chamlain with it's Chocolate factory is not that far away (see my pictures) ( sorry at this moment in Russian only )
